Hi, Lauren Here! This Saturday, I had a blast shooting the wedding festivities of Amanda Strawbridge and Bobby Richardson in Raleigh, NC (my first wedding of the year!). This pair is totally fun-loving and laid-back. They are so playful with each other, which is one of my favorite qualities in a couple. They met as fellow bartenders at the Carolina Ale House and love to travel and go to music concerts together. Bobby proposed at the top of the ferris wheel overlooking Niagara Falls! They are currently honeymooning in the Bahamas!
As you can see, Amanda is strikingly beautiful and I love that Bobby makes sure to tell her so! The ceremony was held at Good Shepard Lutheran Church and the reception was at Events at Newton Square. The Carolina Hurricanes' mascot, Stormy, even made an appearance at the reception! What a party! Here are some highlights from their special day:
Amanda got ready at her parents' house and wore a beautiful corset-back strapless dress paired with her mother's gorgeous veil.
The girls finished getting ready in the church library and snacked on Easy Cheese (above). Meanwhile, across the church, some of the groomsmen took a moment to polish their pearly whites (below).
Amanda takes a few deep breaths (above) minutes before walking down the aisle.
Husband and Wife! (below)
After the ceremony, I was able to get a few minutes alone with Bobby and Amanda for some portraits of the newlyweds.
Amanda and Bobby shared their first dance to Tim McGraw's "My Best Friend."
Bobby dances with his mother.
Stormy leads the dance floor to "Jump on it"!
The best man gave quite a toast that got some great reactions from Amanda and Bobby (above).
A little mischief as Bobby looks for the garter (above).
The beautiful bride!
Huge thanks to my second photographer, Kate Monroe! I've included a few of her photos here, but be sure to check out her blog for even more images of the day!
Amanda and Bobby, it was such a pleasure to meet you and be a part of your big day. Thank you for including us! I wish you a life full of love and happiness! -Lauren
