Olano-Kelley Wedding

Every once in a while, I get the unique honor of photographing the wedding of friends of mine. Nothing makes me happier than being a part of such an important day for good friends! This was the case on Sunday (May 24) when I photographed the wedding of my friend from college, Cassie, and her husband Robbie Kelley. Cassie looked BEAUTIFUL!!!

This was the second wedding during Memorial Day weekend for me and I traveled down to Wilmington, NC to be a part of this one. The ceremony took place at the New Hanover City Arboretum and the reception followed at the Coastline Convention Center. Cassie had her hair and make up done at the Head to Toe Day Spa, where she currently works as a massage therapist.

The guests were all very thankful that Cassie and Robbie provided them with fans during the ceremony!! That sun was BLAZING hot!

Cassie and Robbie decided to show their unity by releasing butterflies during the ceremony!

One of the butterflies from the ceremony attached itself to Cassie's bouquet and would not leave!

Notice the butterfly is still hanging out in the photo below!

The reception was a blast and there was lots of good Cajun food and dancing! Music was provided by The West Street Band and also by Robbie's own band The Migrant Workers!

Like most guitar players, Robbie found it a little odd playing his guitar for the first time with a wedding band on his finger!!
But ROCKED OUT none the less!!

Goddard-Cameron Wedding

This Past Saturday (May 23), I had the chance to be a part of the wedding of Julie Goddard and Wesley Cameron in Roaring Gap, NC. The ceremony was held in the apple orchard behind the home of Wesley's Aunt. What a beautifully done home wedding!! I was very impressed with all the details and the willingness of everyone involved to pitch in and help set everything up!

Julie and Wesley have known each other since middle school! The two have been close friends since meeting in 8th grade and began dating in college. Julie recently graduated from Campbell University this spring and Wesley is a graduate of NCSU. There were a lot of their friends from school at the wedding Saturday and a LOT of dancing (see photos!!). The two are currently honeymooning in Key West! Congrats Wes and Julie!

The programs were a work of art created by Jill Sweat!

Julie and Wesley had a GREAT first dance!! I could tell that they had been practicing :)

Speaking of practicing.... Check out Julie with best friend, William, practicing for the Cupid's Shuffle! You can tell the practicing paid off by the photo below!

Did I tell you there was some serious dancing going on!?

Lowes-Fotos Wedding

What a day! Yesterday's wedding between Allison Lowe and Adam Fotos was, to me, one of those picture-perfect events. From the very beginning of the day, I could literally "feel" the love in the air! Not just the obvious love between Allison and Adam, but also their friends and family that surrounded them. From hugs and greetings to toasts and dancing, there was love everywhere! It was such a joy to be able to be a part of such a happy day.

Allison and Adam got married at the Kenmure Country Club in Flat Rock, NC (just south of Asheville) and the weather held out for us! It didn't begin raining until the reception was well underway--it even stopped to let Adam and Allison have a dry "exit". There were lots of cute kids there (see photos!!) and lots of unc-alumni (go heels!). My fellow photographer (and former bride), Katie Monroe was there to assist me--special thanks to Katie for traveling to be a part of the event! (see last photos).

The couple is headed to Greece today for their honeymoon! Congrats Alli and Adam and thanks for letting me be a part of your day! Below are a few highlights from yesterday's festivities:

Take A look at my lovely assistant from Saturday, Katie Monroe! Below are a few photos that she took yesterday! I also wanted to share a few photos taken by me of Katie and her husband Nate's wedding this past fall!!
