Wedding: Morgan Allison and Jon Morgan (Lauren)

Lauren Here! I was really lucky to get to shoot the wedding of Morgan Allison and Jon Morgan at Hidden River Events in Asheville on Saturday, September 26th. Morgan and Jon are high school sweethearts from Weaverville, NC and are truly a photographer's dream couple: warm, easy-going, and completely photogenic! They both put me at ease immediately and I felt as if I had known them for years! They weren't even phased by the fact that it rained buckets all over their plans to get married outside. The ceremony was moved under the tent at Hidden River and was absolutely beautiful  (with the misty mountains in the background!!) The reception was full of crazy moves and great times! I found myself getting a little weepy as Morgan and her mother said a tearful goodbye at the end of the night. Thanks so much, Morgan and Jon, for letting me take part in such a memorable day! Below are some highlights:

Look at that gorgeous view of Hidden River with the clouds over the mountains! That's one great thing about a rainy wedding day: beautiful misty mountains! (below)

Thanks so much for allowing me to be a part of your day! Check out Morgan and Jon's engagement photos, shot earlier this year by Sarah.

Spear-Parker Wedding

One of the reasons that I love my job so much is because I get to meet some of the most fabulous people and be a part of one of the most important days of their lives. I spend this past Sunday, August 9th, with Lindsay Spear and Ashley Parker at their wedding at the gorgeous Hidden River Events site in Swannanoa, NC. Lindsay and Ashley met at the Asheville Mall, Ashley proposed to Lindsay at the Biltmore House on December 11th. They are currently honeymooning in Kiawah Island. Below are a few highlights of their wedding day

The day began with Lindsay and her bridesmaids at Marcon Salon in Asheville (below).

While, I was with the girls getting ready, my fabulous assistant, Giedre, was at Hidden River with Ashley and his groomsmen (below).

Giedre and I then staged a "first look" where Ashley and Lindsay saw each other for the first time before the wedding (below).

After the first look, we went on to take some portraits at the beautiful surroundings at Hidden River.

Is this a cute couple or what?

The Wedding Party!

I thought that this guest below was TOO cute! I think he looks like a little man with his suspenders and tie! (below)
It was really hot on Sunday, so all the guests were taking advantage of the fans that Ashley and Lindsay provided (below)

Lindsay and Ashley made CDs for all their guests (above)

Lindsay's family made up a song about she and Ashley and perform it for the crowd! (below). It was a lot of fun and it was really a good song!
Sean from Premiere Sound and Light was there to get the party started!
Lindsay's little sister, Gracie, had fun with the bubbles all night. She went up to guests and asked the adorable question, "would you like to be surrounded by bubbles?" How can you say no? I was surrounded quite a few times! (below)

A special thanks for my wonderful assistant, Giedre (below). She's been working with Whitmeyer Photography for over a year now and is always wonderful! Thanks, G!
