While taking part in Nicole and Matthew's festivities, a favorite quote of mine from the movie "Steel Magnolias" came to mind: "laughter through tears is my favorite emotion." I saw lots of tears on Sunday, but it was always followed by laughter and genuine smiles. Nicole and Matthew sure do have a lot of people in their lives who love and care about them and it showed! Below are a few highlights from the big day Sunday.
The tears (above) and the laughter through them (below) were what stood out about Nicole and Matthew's wedding day
The above photo is being featured on the blog by request! Sometimes, as you can see, it takes some help to get ready for big events!
Moments before she walked down the aisle, Nicole's aunt and bridesmaids do some last minute touching up with the veil (below).
What a beautiful setting Sunday at the Biltmore Estate! The flowers for the day were provided by the always-talented Bloom Room of Asheville.

The ceremony was officiated by Pastor Myrten Byrd, longtime friend of the bride and the maid of honor's father.

As I stated before, the heartfelt vows of Matthew and Nicole caused many guests to shed a few tears
Then comes the laughter and celebration!!

A special thanks to Giedre, my assistant (below). Giedre has been working with me for a little over a year now and always does a wonderful job!
Below if my favorite of Giedre's images from the day--she did a wonderful job capturing that moment right before the couple walked down the aisle!
